Jeff Lovejoy

Jeff Lovejoy is a first generation Houstonian born to Tom and Linda Lovejoy on December 15, 1973. Jeff has been involved with music for most of his life in one way or another at least since the age of 3 when he played his first piano. He joined the local church choir at the age of 5 and could meet pitch and sight read by the age of 8. At that time they moved to Houston, from the beautiful but poorer parts of Ohio, and this move opened up wide possibilities for Jeff in the music world. Jeff picked up the guitar for the first time in 6th grade in an experimental choir classroom in
South Houston and this instrument helped to solidify Jeff as a songwriter at a very early age. Jeff commonly pulls from this history when writing his music so you are never quite sure what you'll hear when it's an original tune. Over the years, Jeff has performed as a solo artist and as a member of the bands: Words in my Pocket, 900LBS, and the Texas Toast.
